The fifth congress of the Bulgarian Football Union (BFU) has gathered to appoint a new president.
A total of 344 BFU members will choose a new president among the three candidates - suspended chair Ivan Slavkov, his current deputy and former star goalkeeper for Bulgaria Borislav Mihaylov, and the president of the Professional Football League Valentin Mihov.
In order to win a candidate should receive 50% of the anonymous votes plus one vote.
Ivan Slavkov has been heading the BFU for ten years now.
An IOC member since 1987, he was voted out during a session in Singapore on July 7.
Last summer, the Bulgarian official was videotaped in a television program indicating that IOC members were willing to accept bribes to secure their votes for London's bid to host the 2012 Olympics.
