OPINION POLL MIGHT BE FABRICATED

Two Bulgarian polling agencies circulated in local media protests against data presented recently on their behalf. State National Center for Opinion Polls (NCOP) and private Alfa Research denied they have conducted the cited opinion polls and hinted for pre-election fabrications. The publication in question insisted that the rating of Simeon II National Movement, of the ex-Monarch Simeon II, has lost some 10 percent of its supporters since end of April. Thus its supporters have leveled with the champion of the UDF. NCOP has not conducted such a research, its representatives said. Alfa Research is not involved with analysis made on its behalf, the second polling agency said.
