Bulgaria thrived in a night of football successes, Wednesday when one after the other three of the country's football teams made it to the next round in the UEFA Cup qualifications.

CSKA, Levski, and Litex all made it a night to remember for Bulgarian fans for each grabbed a precious victory in the three consecutive games aired by the Bulgarian National Television.

The mood in apartments, pubs and streets was gradually rising with each victory until it erupted late in the night with firecrackers, whistles, shouts and lots and lots of sore throats.

Even the sports commentators could not hold their excitement and by the end of each game the respective voice was coarse and failing with excitement and comments were getting incoherent. But all is forgiven in such a night.

"This should be named National Football Day of Bulgaria", exalted fans shouted in an attempt to scrape up another day of celebrations in September, just a week after Independence Day.

After a series of disappointments by the national team, the current euphoria, mixed with disbelief was contagious and even people who generally didn't mind sports all that much joined in on the fun.

Soon enough Bulgaria's lifted spirits soared in the skies and at bus stops and Internet forums conversations already gravitated around the dreamed UEFA final - CSKA against Levski.

It's nice to dream and Wednesday Bulgaria's teams reminded us exactly what dreams were made of.
