Bulgaria Aims at Barefoot-Run Record

A Bulgarian man will try to score a world record by running barefoot in the Rila Mountain, local media said Wednesday.

Kostadin Marguin, aged 43, is planning to start a 60-kilometer marathon this Saturday. During his high-altitude adventure, the runner will consume only spring water.

Marguin has already set a world record. In 1993, he ran 100 kilometers on asphalt with his bare feet.

Bulgarian media disclosed that the man was a father of two, leading a liquor and tobacco-free life.
