Over 160 Sites Registered for BG Site 2005 Contest

More than 160 web sites have already been registered for participation in the "BG Site 2005" contests.

Awards will be presented in 16 categories, including e-trade, education and science, finance, entertainment, news. E-Trade", "Services", "Entertainment" and "Travel and Tourism" categories enjoy greatest interest, the organizers announced.

The registration for the major event started June 21 to end September 30. Those who wish to participate in the contest can register at www.bgsite.org

"Show Up" is the slogan of Bulgaria's top web site contest BG Site 2005. The motto was created by Bulgarian university students

A jury of 16 prominent web experts will select the winners in the different groups. Through an on-line voting the public will also be allowed to chose its favourite at www.bgsite.org

The official awarding ceremony will take place November 2 and the winner will receive the traditional statuette of Ivo Arnaudov.

The traditional web seminar will take place November 3 - 4 and will focus on the efficiency of the on-line decisions and on Internet advertising.

For a second year in row the unique event is organized by the Bulgarian Web Association. The main partners in this year's BG Site events are leading PR company M3 Communications, Group, Inc. and PricewaterhouseCooper.

The event is recognized as country's most prestigious web site contest among the IT professionals and the Bulgarian community.
