Intl Aviation Fest Kicks Off in Bulgaria

The International Aviation Festival "Sky for all" was officially inaugurated in Bulgaria's second city Plovdiv, on September 6, the Day of the State Unification.

The aviation fest will continue to September 7. During these two days people will be able to see and take part in a combination of aerial and static displays, ground exhibition, different presentations, meetings, and many other events related to aviation and flying.

The American Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Company will present a F-16 super-fighter cockpit demonstrator during the Fifth International Aviation Festival in Plovdiv. Two F-16s, which are veterans of actual combat, will be shown for the first time in Bulgaria. Many other flying aces will also participate in the show.

Nearly 100 000 people attend the festivals organized by foundation "Bulgarian Air Forces". Many world famous aerobatic display teams have taken part in the air shows.

Some of them are: US NAVY Blue Angels , US A.F.Thunderbirds , Frecce Tricolori from Italy, The Turkish Stars from Turkey, The Flying Stars from Yugoslavia, Voltige Victor from France, as well as guest from the Bulgarian air force and the air forces of other countries.
