More than 30,000 people have vied to enter the second Bulgarian season of Big Brother.
People not only from Bulgaria but also from the UK, Italy, Russia, Ukraine and Libya are eager to enter the show, it emerged Tuesday.
Producers had to suspend the collecting of applications a week earlier than planned, because of the overwhelming number of candidates.
"We have many interesting candidates, some types of personalities that did not show up for the first season," the show's Bulgarian editor-in-chief, Nikolay Nikolov, has said.
He and his colleagues have already met in person about 5,000 applicants. However, no final choices have been made yet.
Only 25 will be allowed to the final casting, and 15 will enter the house of Big Brother 2.
The show kicks off on September 19, hoping to overleap the tremendous success of the first season.
