Bulgaria's History Museum displayed Tuesday its latest acquisition - a silver cigarette box with the engraved image of Bulgaria's King Ferdinand in a parade military uniform.
Dimitar Dimitrov, a journalist from the Bulgarian section of BBC, presented the cigarette box to the History Museum.
The cigarette box has been produced back in 1908 in Vienna and has most probably been taken abroad following the abdication of King Ferdinand back in 1918. The cigarette box has been purchased for 25,000 French franks in an antiquarian shop in Paris.
Ferdinand abdicated on October 3, 1918 after Bulgaria's defeat in World War I, which it had entered on the side of Germany, Austria-Hungary and the Ottoman Empire in an attempt to reverse the losses of 1913.
