93% OF THE YOUNG BULGARIANS WILLING TO LEAVE THE COUNTRY

93% of the young Bulgarians are willing to leave the country, the results from a survey conducted by National Center for Research of the Public Opinion show. Only 7% of the young people say that they would not emigrate. 11,6% of the surveyed 739 young people, aged from 15 to 30, want to leave Bulgaria forever. Others assume that they might come back – 48,3% after making enough money; 8,4% after getting good education. 24,4% of the surveyed say that they haven’t emigrated so far since they do not have enough money. Every third points out that she/he is dependent on his parents. According to the survey, education is not that significant for the Bulgarian youths. Still, 55,3% are ready to make sacrifices for good education. 71,4 %, though, prefer to work and to have money than to get a prestigious diploma. Only 8% believe that good education is directly related to better professional realization. The survey shows that 45% of the surveyed use Internet – 72% in the capital, 20% in the country. 44% of the young people listen to pop folk music.
