Israeli soldiers have moved into a synagogue in the largest settlement in the Gaza Strip to remove hundreds of nationalist youngsters who have been refusing to leave. The youths entered the synagogue at Neve Dekalim after Israeli troops began removing Israeli settlers from Gaza's 21 settlements by force on Wednesday. Settlers had been given 48 hours to leave their homes before the forced removal began. Meanwhile, in the Jewish settlement of Kfar Darom, soldiers have been physically dragging defiant Israelis out of their homes. Israeli officials say more than 60% of Gaza's 8,500 residents have left or been evicted, although hundreds of young radicals have been resisting the forced move.
