The Bulgarian Big Brother producers will suspend the casting for new participants, as they have already received an overwhelming number of applications.

More than 22,000 Bulgarians are vying to enter the house for the second season of the show. This is almost double the number of applicants for the pioneer edition - 14,000.

Producers will continue to receive applications until August 19. This is a week less than planned.

Of all wannabes only 15 will enter the Bulgarian house of Big Brother, the first reality show to be aired in the country. The first edition of the show stirred Bulgaria's entire media sector with the craze that it sparkled.

Big Brother delivered plenty of voyeur pleasure, indeed. Viewers were allowed into a shocking world of erotic action - including masturbation and homosexual scenes.

The most flirtatious participant - young Zdravko Vassilev - swept the top prize of about EUR 100,000.

Zdravko emerged as a favourite after his dramatic love life went public. During the show the young gent received a phone call from a girlfriend to learn that she was carrying his baby.
