Emil Koshlukov, Simeon II National Movement MP presented the Public Council attached to the Civil Society parliamentary committee at a “Communication and Interaction between the National Assembly and the Civil Society Organizations” seminar organized by the Bulgarian Center for Non-for-profit Law (BCNL) and the State University of New York – International Development Group (SUNY/IDG). The members of the public council have equal participation in legislation initiatives as the committee’s MPs. The council is clear example for interaction between Parliament and the non-governmental organizations in Bulgaria, Koshlukov pointed out. NGO representatives, MPs and members of political organization attended the seminar. This seminar marked the beginning of the National Assembly Technical Assistance Program, which with the assistance of the members of the International Donor Group, represented by the Embassies of the Netherlands, Germany, United Kingdom, France, USA, USAID, and UNDP, combine their efforts to support the legislative process and activities of the Bulgarian Parliament.
