FOUR AIRLINES TO CARRY OUT CHARTERS

Four Bulgarian airlines will undertake the charter flights for the tourist season, Mariana Assenova, Deputy Minister of Tourism, said after the sitting of the National Tourist Council. National air carrier, Balkan Airlines, will be servicing by Russian made TU 154 regular and charter destinations as of June 1, 2001. Balkan will fly to Spain, Turkey and Israel. Currently the airline is negotiating flights to Poland too. The state Hemus Air will be servicing destinations to Denmark, Switzerland, the Check republic, Slovakia, Poland, Lebanon, France and Turkey. Private Bulgarian Air Charter undertakes charters from Germany and Denmark. Also private Air Via will service tourists from Germany.
