The Issue Department's total assets grew by BGN 80 M in a week, according to the weekly return of the National Bank of Bulgaria (BNB) for the week ending December 14. From BGN 7,627 M on December 7 they rose to BGN 7,707 M .

On the assets side, cash and nostro accounts in foreign currencies rose by about BGN 150 M from the equivalent of BGN 1,157 M to the equivalent of BGN 1,307 M.

Money in circulation went up by nearly BGN 192 M from BGN 2,866 M to BGN 3,058 M.

Foreign securities dropped BGN 64 M from BGN 5,774 M to BGN 5,710 M.

The deposits of the Government and of budget-subsidized organizations, part of the Department's liabilities, grew by BGN 16 M to BGN 2,658 .
