The producers of the Bulgarian version of Big Brother started their search for new participants Wednesday.

The second season of the reality show will kick off in September with 12 entrants.

As in the first season, the winner will pocket BGN 200,000 (approximately EUR 100,000).

Big Brother's Bulgarian debut enjoyed enormous success and shook the entire media market.

Zdravko Vassilev, a flirtatious bachelor who learned during the show that a girlfriend was pregnant with his child, won the prize in January.

The other finalist was 19-year-old female model Svetlozara Trendafilova, who consequently landed in Playboy Bulgaria.

Despite the groundbreaking success of the show, none of the participant managed to maintain a high public interest afterward.
