A bomb blast wounded pro-Syrian caretaker Defense Minister Elias Al-Murr north of Beirut on Tuesday, security officials said. The blast targeted Murr's motorcade in the busy Christian Antelias suburb. A report from the scene quoted security sources as saying two people were killed and 12 were wounded. Live television images from the scene of the explosion showed rescue workers helping a bloodied man - who was still moving - out of the car. The car was left a charred and twisted wreck, and several nearby cars and buildings were damaged.
