BNB GOVERNOR CHAIRS BSBTD SUPERVISION

Svetoslav Gavriiski, Governor of Bulgarian National Bank (BNB), was elected Chairman of the Board of Managing Directors of the Black Sea Bank for Trade and Development (BSBTD). The board will be supervising the bank`s operation by its next general assembly. The mandate of Daniela Bobeva, who is a Vice-President of the Banking Department of the BSBTD on behalf of Bulgaria, is expiring end May. Bulgaria holds currently nearly 9 percent of the credit portfolio of the bank by end 2000, Ms Bobeva said. Last year the bank approved 12 projects totalling USD 105 million, she added.
