Bulgaria, one of the first European countries to promote competitive yoga, held its traditional tenth yoga festival at the National Palace of Culture in the capital.

The oldest participant in the festival, aged 78, played together with his grand granson, aged 13. The participants measured skill, strength, grace and poise, proving that competitive yoga is a pleasure to watch. These were important factors in distinguishing the elites from among the best in the final stage of the contest.

The budget of the Bulgarian yoga federation for 2005 totals BGN 5 000.

The contest took place under the patronage of Sports Minister Vassil Ivanov.
