The German regional newspaper Turinger nachrichten published an interview with Prime Minister Saxe-Coburg entitled “I do not expect miracles.” The Bulgarian PM is at an official visit to Germany. “ I do not have the illusions that a miracle can be achieved in the economy for 800 days. He reminds about the publication of White Book on the governance of the former Cabinet and points out that it has left a budget deficit of DEM 559 M.

According to him, budget bill 2002 is reasonable and socially oriented budget. “ It is difficult to say whether the people will be able to feel the results from the measures undertaken for the improvement of the improvement of their living standard,” Saxe-Coburg said.

“ We have to go through a difficult period in order to be able to enjoy positive changes,” he continues. “People should be encouraged to take care on their own of the well-being of their families. They should not expect the state to do everything for them,” Saxe-Coburg said.

In his opinion, the aim of his visit to Germany is to show that Bulgaria is a good place for investments. One of Bulgaria’s achievement, according to Saxe-Coburg, is that the country has shown that it is a factor for stability on the Balkans.
