Croatian international strike Dado Prso voiced hopes the next World Cup tournament will see a repeat of Croatia's 1998 vintage feats after moving closer to 2006 finals with a 3-1 win over Bulgaria.

Croatia ranked third at France 98 and the Rangers striker reckons he can help his country emulate that feat in Germany next summer.

"Getting to Germany will be a dream for me," Prso said, as cited by The Herald.

"We want to follow the success of our 1998 side. They shocked the world of football with their ability and in football nothing is impossible."

Croatia's Saturday victory in Sofia dashed Bulgaria's chances to qualify for the World Cup finals in Germany in 2006, as it left them eight points behind the Croats. The Bulgarians are also seven adrift of Sweden, in second, who crushed Malta 6-0.
