Car Bomb Kills Nine in Iraq

A car bomb killed nine people and injured 25 in north Iraq on Thursday, officials announced. The bomb was targeting a restaurant where bodyguards of Iraq's Kurdish deputy prime minister were eating. The bomb exploded Thursday morning in Tuz Khormato, a town 55 miles south of the northern oil city of Kirkuk. One of deputy prime minister Rowsch Nouri Shaways' bodyguards was among the nine killed. Twenty-five people were injured, including six of Shaways' bodyguards. Shaways was not at the restaurant.
