A report on the economic prospects of Bulgaria “The Government in search of economic strategies,” written by Marc Pointecker writes that statistical data show that Bulgaria’s way to EU is rather long. Prime Minister Saxe-Coburg and his Movement, which is strong politically but does not have competent experts, have a lot of work to do till they manage to improve the living standard of the population, the author claims. The report points out that Bulgaria’s population has decreased noticeably, which indicates that a great number of the young Bulgarians have emigrated. The author does not believe that the planned privatization deals will be concluded by the end of next year.
