Shirly Brener, the star in the major international production Children of Wax, revealed some secrets over the movie that is being shot in Sofia.

Directed by Bulgarian Ivan Nichev, the Hollywood star turn into a head of a German skinhead gang in Berlin. The movie tells the story of the clash between the German gang and a Turkish gang that is triggered by the mutual accusations over the murders of Turkish children from the city. It appears that a serial murder is taking the children and is murdering them and then is putting them into wax.

In the movie Shirly is partnered by stars Armand Assante and Udo Kier. The beautiful actress shared some impressions from her work in Bulgaria, praising the work and the professionalism of the team and of the director Ivan Nichev.

She also revealed her "links to Bulgarian" starting with her father Dan Brener, who heads the Israeli Kamor Auto, general representative for BMW in Bulgaria which recently opened an ultramodern showroom in Sofia thus becoming one of the biggest foreign investors in the country.

Shirly Brener has a diverse career in film, television, theatre and hosting in both her native Israel and in the USA. Born in Haifa, she did her first commercial at the age of 2. At the age of 15, Brener was accepted to the prestigious theatrical performing arts department of Beverly Hills High.

Shirly booked her first breakthrough role opposite Henry Thomas in the film "Highjacking Hollywood". In the late 90's, Brener landed a contract to appear as a series regular on the popular Israeli nighttime drama- "Ramat Aviv Gimmel". This lead to her notable job as the host of MTV''s "Singled Out".

While in school, Brener managed to continue acting in films such as Lions Gate "The Gray Zone", directed by Tim Blake Nelson, opposite Mira Sorvino and Harvey Keitel, as well as "Blind Horizon" starring Val Kilmer, Sam Shepard, Faye Danway and Neve Campbell and "Shadow of Fear" starring James Spader and Aidan Quinn.
