No agreement was reached on a 10% rise in electricity and heating prices at the meeting of the Trilateral Cooperation Council on December 11. The Cabinet's decree for 10% rise that the Supreme Administrative Court revoked on November 5 was discussed at the meeting. According to Zhelyazko Hristov, leader of the Confederation of Independent Trade Unions in Bulgaria (CITUB), the negotiations will continue. Lidia Shuleva, Deputy Prime Minister and Social Minister, said that the meeting has been held, but in order for the dialogue to be successful all parties must contribute. According to Minister Shuleva if the Cabinet approves the decree prices will rise. Konstantin Trenchev, leader of Trade Union “Podkrepa” said that the syndicates are still against the 10% rise. The social price is too high and not well justified, he said.
