The World Cup qualifier between Bulgaria and Croatia will be crucial for the career of some players at the Bulgarian national team, coach Hristo Stoitchkov said Wednesday in a televised interview.
He pledged to introduce notable changes in the Bulgarian lineup.
Stoitchkov made a critical remark on the team's performance against Sweden (0-3) and Hungary (1-1). The coach said several players made the wrong moves during the corner kick that allowed Hungary to equalize after Bulgaria had taken the lead in Budapest.
Bulgaria is left with a scarce chance of qualifying for the World Cup, after losing to Sweden and being drawn by Hungary.
Bulgaria-Croatia will take place on June 4 at Sofia's Vassil Levski Stadium.
