Flag Carrier’s Creditors are to discuss a new, higher valuation of the company’s assets. According to Olga Milenkova, Balkan’s receiver, the previous estimate of BGN 128 M prepared earlier this year by international consultants KPMG was lower than the one drafted by Bulgarian-registered consultancy Iliev&Co. The initiative is part of the rehabilitation plan that is expected to attract new investors and be submitted to court for approval on December 13. The previous evaluation did not include the value of Balkan’s slots at international airports, one of the most costly assets of the company. It is not clear whether the price of the slot has been made part of the new evaluation.
