Bulgarian Car Thief to Spend 11 Years in Jail

A Bulgarian regional court confirmed Thursday the 11-year imprisonment sentence of a man, charged with car thievery.

Vesselin Ampov (39) was found guilty for stealing a microbus from a private real estate on January 27, 2004 by using technical device.

The court first announced its decision only a week after the indictment was presented in court, police officials reminded.

Ampov have been found guilty in 13 separate cases so far, officials also said.
