Bulgarian Olympic winners from Athens 2004 Maria Grozdeva and Milen Dobrev became honorary citizens of the Greek capital.

The two Olympic champs were presented with a diploma and a letter from Athens' mayor Dora Bakoyianni, who triggered the initiative for the awarding of the Olympic winner.

It is a great honor for us that two of the Olympic champions are from Bulgaria, Greece's Ambassador to Sofia HE Prokopios Mandzuranis said.

Maria Grozdeva is a double medallist of Athens 2004, with a bronze at 10m and a gold at 25m of air pistol, whereas Milen Dobrev overpowered his rivals in the 94kg category on August 23 and swept the Olympic title.
