Theodosii Spassov Promotes EU Treaty

Society | April 10, 2005, Sunday // 00:00

Bulgaria's worldwide-celebrated kaval virtuoso Theodosii Spassov is joining a television campaign to promote the Accession Treaty with the European Union (EU).

The groundbreaking document will be signed on April 25, but opinion polls show that the majority of Bulgarians are unfamiliar with the main clauses.

Bulgaria's state television BNT starts next Monday broadcasting special videos that will eventually inspire the community to seek more info about EU-related matters.

The clips will feature Spassov, and will be shown under the motto "Read The Treaty," it was announced this weekend.

Bulgaria's EU Affairs Minister Meglena Kuneva gave the idea for the artistic campaign.
