A Bulgarian milliner sent a pair of hats as a wedding gift to Britain's Prince Charles and Camilla Parker Bowles, while a Gypsy couple whose wedding the prince attended wired their best wishes, Daily Times reported.

Violeta Ilieva designed a big yellow hat of banana straw covered with rose buds for Camilla Parker Bowles and a more sober beige-and-brown felt one for the prince, and attached a postcard bearing "wishes for a happy life."

The royal couple will also receive a telegram from a Bulgarian Gypsy couple whose wedding Prince Charles attended in 1998 during a visit to the southern city of Plovdiv's Roma neighbourhood.

Prince Charles and Camilla Parker Bowles will be married in a civil ceremony on Saturday. The wedding was postponed a day to allow Charles to attend the funeral of Pope John Paul II. The half-hour civil ceremony will be attended by some 30 guests.
