Ex-Kyrgyz President to Resign

Ousted Kyrgyzstan President Askar Akayev says he has agreed to tender his formal resignation. Akayev made the decision after three hours of talks with a parliamentary delegation from Kyrgyzstan at the country's embassy in Moscow. He said a protocol had been agreed at the talks, according to which he would formally step down on Monday.
