The documentary of Bulgarian director Adela Peeva swept two awards at the international festival Days of Documentary Cinema taking place in Lublin, Poland.

The Bulgarian movie "Whose is this song" took the second prize and the award of the students' jury. The documentary has already swept ten awards from both national and international festivals.

"Whose is this song" is among the most successful Bulgarian documentaries. The film enjoys great interest both in Bulgaria and abroad. It tells the story of a song known by Greeks, Serbs, Turks, Macedonians and Bulgarians. Each group claims the song as its own, insisting that only they could have composed such a beautiful piece. Through the twists and turns of the filmmaker's quest, the Balkan Peninsula reveals its diversity and the wealth of its traditions.

Adela Peeva graduated in film direction from the Academy for Theater, Cinema, Radio, and Television in 1970. She has made more than 50 documentaries that have been broadcast around the world. In 1991, she founded her own production company. Her films have won awards in Bulgaria and internationally.
