Hollywood superstar Scarlett Johansson arrived in Bulgaria for the shooting of Brian de Palma's latest film "Black Dahlia".

The shooting will begin April 1 in the town of Pernik and will then go on in Sofia. Filming is expected to continue for ten to twelve weeks, while the budget of the production will exceed USD 50 M.

Johansson will be partnered in the movie by other major Hollywood names like Josh Hartnett and his colleague Aaron Eckhart, who have already arrived in Bulgaria.

Black Dahlia's credited cast also includes young Hollywood diva and Oscar winner Hilary Swank, who is expected to come to Sofia in April.

The movie tells the story of the murder of Elizabeth Short that has intrigued, mystified, and even disgusted the city of Los Angeles for more than half a century.

The case, notoriously, attracted several false confessions, and later surfaced more interest when James Ellroy wrote The Black Dahlia in 1987.
