The legendary Bulgarian actor Stefan Danailov, who is currently a socialist MP, was recognised with the special award named after Ikar for overall contribution to Bulgarian Theatre.

The annual ceremony organised by Bulgarian Actors Union on the International Day of Theatre gave out the top directorship prize to Alexander Morphov for his play "Outcasts", which was nominated also for scene technical mastership.

Koyna Russeva, star in a local Friends-style movie, and Hristo Mutaphchiev were awarded for leading male and female role respectively.
