Swedish midfielder Tobias Linderoth has suffered a minor injury during the squad's training camp, the coach disclosed in Sofia.
Lars Lagerback said the injury was not serious, nevertheless, it might keep Linderoth away from the pitch on Saturday.
The rest of the Swedish players are fit, the coach announced.
Lagerback said that he was expecting a tough game, but added the Swedes had "a really good chance to win."
He was rather secretive about the tactics he would count on, and refused to reveal the Swedish lineup for the match.
"We have the Bulgarian team under control," Lagerback said in an overconfident manner.
Taking up a question by Sofia News Agency, Swedish team captain Olof Mellberg said that the absence of several key Bulgarian players was likely to affect the hosts. "We will try to take advantage of that," Mellberg uncovered, referring to suspended captain Stilian Petrov and forward Martin Petrov as well as injured Valeri Bojinov and Marian Hristov.
The Swedish team arrived in Sofia about noon on Friday, after a training camp in Cyprus.
Both teams are considering the March 26 World Cup qualifier to be crucial, but according to Lagerback the defeated team would still have a chance for qualifying.
