A suicide car bomb in the western Iraqi city of Ramadi exploded late Thursday, killing 11 Iraqi police commandos and wounding 14 others, the US military confirmed on Friday. Among the wounded were two US soldiers, nine police commandos and three civilians, said a US military spokesman. Ramadi, some 110 km west of Baghdad, is one of the most dangerous spots in Iraq. The elite Iraqi commando unit was sent tothe region recently by the Interior Ministry to quell the violence.
