South Eastern Europe is a relatively secure place for investments but Bulgaria is still vulnerable, is written in the analysis of the British group “Economist Intelligence Unit,” quoted by radio “ Free Europe.”

According to the analysis, the investors showed big interest in the obligations of the countries in the region but there is presence of risks also.

The popularity of the recent euro obligations of Bulgaria, Latvia and Moscow is not surprising in light of the stable macro economic fundamentals of most of the South Eastern countries, the analysis continues. According to “Economist Intelligence Unit,” the negotiations with the European Union explain why there is relative optimism for the situation in the SouthEastern Europe countries.

The EU accession talks give certain security to the investors. The analysis claims that such speculations for security were profitable for the Euro obligations emission as long as many consider Bulgaria as the last player among the EU candidate countries.

The Economist Intelligence Unit warns that in spite of the fact that the general situation in South East Europe may seem to be secure, some of the countries are still vulnerable. The loss of tourism revenues because of the global unstable situation threatens to create financial problems in Bulgaria and Croatia. The analysis comments that Romania, Ukraine and Slovakia are also vulnerable countries in the region.
