French journalist Florence Aubenas who was kidnapped in Iraq a month ago has appeared on a video pleading for help, saying her health was "very bad". In the new footage, broadcast by Sky Italia news channel, Aubenas looked distraught, clutching her knees to her chest and with bedraggled hair. She wore a grey sweatshirt and black trousers. A correspondent for the French newspaper Liberation, she went missing along with her interpreter, Hussein Hanoun al-Saadi, on January 5. It is thought they were snatched from a car while driving in Baghdad. Florence Aubenas is at least the third French journalist to be abducted in Iraq. Two others, Georges Malbrunot and Christian Chesnot, were freed late last year after being held for nearly four months.
