Bulgaria's young tennis star Sesil Karatantcheva was kicked out of the USD 170,000 ATP tournament in Memphis.

The young hopeful was outplayed by US J. Jackson 6-3, 6-4. After her participation in that tournament Sesil gained yet another 16 points for her ranking in the world tennis rang list.

The Memphis tournament is the third event Karatantcheva participated in since the beginning of 2005. She qualified for the quarterfinals of the prestigious Gold Coast where she lost to Patty Schnyder.

In the beginning of January Wimbledon champion Maria Sharapova defeated Sesil Karatantcheva to advance to the second round of the Australian Open.

Now Sesil will have to focus on her performance at the Pasific Life Open, Indian Wells.
