Bulgarian Footballers to Aid Tsunami-Hit Asia

Sports | February 15, 2005, Tuesday // 00:00

The Bulgarian Professional Football League is planning a special all-star charity match to raise funds for tsunami-hit areas in Asia.

The event will bring together some of the best Bulgarian players from Group A, and set them against international players in Bulgarian clubs.

Former national team head Dimitar Penev will coach the Bulgarian squad for the match, which is scheduled to take place on April 26 or 27 this spring.

Sofia's Vassil Levski Stadium will probably host the game, but the League is still open to other suggestions, its head Valentin Mihov has said.
