Hewlett-Packard have ousted their chairperson and chief executive, Carly Fiorina, who left the company after a "golden handshake" of USD 21 M. Fiorina admitted Thursday that she was not leaving voluntary. Her dismissal was an apparent repudiation of HP's acquisition of Compaq Computer in 2002, on which Fiorina had staked her reputation. The deal was worth USD 19 B. HP shares have crashed by 50% in the five and a half years that Fiorina has led the group, but soared 10% after her sacking.
