Due to the worsened foreign conditions, the situation in Bulgaria requires stricter budget discipline, which will result in less chances for new employment opportunities, is written in a report, compiled by the economic department of The Economist magazine. According to the report, in spite of the privatization and liberalization of the state services, the people will not feel tangible improvement. That will disappoint the voters who expected faster improvement of their standard.

The political analysis of The Economist is comparatively optimistic with some reservation. The experts of the magazine envisage re-ordering in the rows of the ruling coalition Simeon II National Movement. They do not exclude the possibility Prime Minister Saxe-Coburg to leave his position before the next parliamentary elections.

The report points out that Bulgaria is not leading in the international scale for corruption and some researches show that corruption does not bother foreign investors that much. According to the Economist, state employees are afraid of taking flexible decision so that they are not accused of corruption, which leads to delay in the business making process.
