An open-air exhibition is showing 41 drafts that rivaled to become a logo of the campaign Decade of Roma Inclusion 2005-2015, which is officially starting on Wednesday in Sofia.

The winning logo, whose author is Adriana Bancheva, Creative Director at Bulgaria's PR leader M3 Communications Group, Inc., was selected among more than 40 entries from companies and individual artists.

The concentric circles in the logo symbolize the open new Europe and a shared willingness to support Roma integration. By using the colours of the Romani flag the logo acknowledges the Roma's unique culture and identity.

The international contest, organized by the governments of Bulgaria, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Macedonia, Romania, Serbia and Montenegro, and Slovakia, was open for logo blueprints from all participating countries.

The opening ceremony of the Decade will take place in front of the National Theatre "Ivan Vazov" on Wednesday where all blueprints submitted for the logo contest can be seen.

The international event will bring under one roof prime ministers from eight Central and Southeast European countries, as well as World Bank President James Wolfensohn and Open Society Institute (OSI) Chairman George Soros.

The European Commission and the United Nations Development Program, the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe, the Council of Europe, and the Council of Europe Development Bank support the initiative held under the auspices of Bulgarian Minister without Portfolio Filiz Hyusmenova.
