Japanese mega star Kazufumi Miyazawa will stage a major performance in Sofia on February 1 along with his band "Miyazawa" and accompanied by Bulgaria's rock legend Kiril Marichkov.

The Sofia concert will be a part of his 2005 European tour that includes France, Poland, Russia and UK as well.

Miyazawa's "Shima Uta" (Island Song) became a massive hit, selling 1.5 million copies. This beautiful Okinawan melody was covered by numerous artists including some in other countries.

The song was also one of the support songs of the Argentinian team at the 2002 FIFA World Cup, even though it was sung in Japanese.

Miyazawa was in Bulgaria on January 6 and 7 to meet the media and his fans. He is now returning determined to stage a major show for all of his Bulgarian fans.
