A large blast exploded in western Baghdad near the headquarters of interim Prime Minister Ayad Allawi's political party, six days before Iraqi elections are set to take place. Police say Monday's explosion in the neighbourhood of Harthia was caused by a car bomb, and a thin plume of smoke could be seen. At least ten people are said to have been injured in the blast. Earlier this month, a suicide car bomber targeted the same offices of interim Prime Minister Ayad Allawi's party. Four people were killed and 25 injured in that attack.
