A Bulgarian magazine organized Saturday an eccentric event to protest against the display of Princess Kalina's wedding dress at a museum.
Organizers brought together a number of married couples, who also submitted wedding dresses and, in an ironic manner, offered them to the National History Museum.
Participants argued that the wedding dress of Princess Kalina, daughter of former Bulgarian King and now Prime Minister Simeon Saxe-Coburg, was not an item of such a historical importance.
Despite being part of the international royal elite, Kalina chose to get married at a local Bulgarian resort. Her Bulgarian ethno-style dress turned out to be a media sensation, as did the wedding ceremony.
