Catholic Archbishop Kidnapped in Mosul

A Catholic archbishop aged 66 has been kidnapped in Mosul, the Vatican said on Monday. Archbishop Basile Georges Casmoussa was seized from outside his church in the east part of the city. The Vatican issued a call for the immediate release of the archbishop. In December, two churches were bombed in Mosul, and Iraq's Christian minority has also faced a series of other attacks.
