Famous Rider Dies during Dakar Rally

Italy's legendary motorcyclist Fabrizio Meoni died of heart attack during the 11th stage of the Dakar Rally.

Meoni, a two-time winner of the epic trek, became the second rider to pass away in two days after Jose Manuel Perez died of his injuries on Monday following a crash last Thursday.

The Italian, aged 47, is the 45th competitor to die in the history of the race.

He left a widow and two children.
