Bulgarian teen footballer Valeri Bojinov has won Italy's Silvio Piola award, given annually to the best non-native young striker in the country.
The 18-year-old will receive the prize at a ceremony on January 24, Bulgarian media said Tuesday.
The young Lecce striker joined the Italians at the age of 13, and made his Serie A debut before turning 16.
He joined the Bulgarian full side at the Euro 2004 in Portugal.
