Quake Hits Turkey, 1 Injured

A moderate earthquake, measuring 5.1 on the Richter scale struck Turkey's southern Aegean coast 01:48 a.m. (2348GMT), sending residents running in panic from their houses. Several aftershocks followed. One man was hospitalized in the resort town of Marmaris, in Mugla, after jumping from a balcony in panic. The epicenter of the quake was registered in the province of Mugla, the Istanbul-based Kandilli Observatory said.
